Enabling and improving Authentic Assessment plays a large role in the innovation and enhancements made at YouSeeU. In our latest release, YouSeeU 4.0 is providing more ways to engage learners and authentically assess knowledge and comprehension.

What’s New with YouSeeU 4.0:

TIME-STAMPED VIDEO COMMENTS.

Instructors and learners can now opt to leave time-stamped video comments on a completed video assignment with this enhancement to our text-based SyncCommentsTM feature. This grants instructors the ability to provide more pointed feedback and coaching to learners as if they were in the same room together, letting them know exactly where they did well and where they might improve. Peer engagement is also improved as they can review one another’s work and provide feedback in a more personalized fashion.

VIDEO RESPONSES FOR INTERACTIVE VIDEO.

In addition to checking comprehension with multiple choice while learners watch a video, instructors can how have learners submit a video response to a question. Instead of simply selecting an answer, submitting a video response opens the opportunity to have learners give a deeper explanation with their response, role-play as a reaction to the video, demonstrate an appropriate reaction to a real-world scenario, and more. This enhancement increases Authentic Assessment for our Interactive Video assignment type and enables more interaction with multimedia.
