New Integrated User Interface
Our new user interface is used when integrated with an LMS. The new interface offers simplified menus and streamlined workflows that allow easier use for both educators and students and is sized so it will nicely embed inside an LMS view without opening new tabs.
- The new interface offers educators the option to choose a template or a previous class when creating a new class that doesn’t match a template and no default template is implemented.
- There is a new workflow for matching LMS assignments to YouSeeU activities. When launching a new assignment from the LMS, the educator can choose to create a new activity, or can select a previously created activity, and the activity will automatically be linked to the LMS assignment.
- There is a new option to designate an LMS link as a general link that is not deep linked with a specific activity.
Sync Meeting Improvements
Our flash-based Sync Meeting space has been upgraded and a beta version of our HTML5 Sync Meeting space has been added.
- Polling has been added as an option for the presenter.
- The previous “raise hand” option has been replaced with a status button where users can choose between “raise hand,” “away,” or one of four emoticons.
- A file uploader has been added for sharing of files within the meeting. These files are accessible in the chat field.
- The Sync Meeting recording player now supplies a list of downloadable files including a .txt file of the chat log in addition to any files that were shared during the meeting.
- Instructors have the option to use HTML5 beta when starting a meeting. This will force all other participants to join in the HTML5 beta meeting space. The HTML5 beta meeting space is also used as a backup in a flash hosted meeting if a participant doesn’t have flash installed.
“Allow Retake” Option
The “Allow Retake” option for Question & Answer, Conversation, and Video Case Response activities has been changed to allow students to reset all Q&A submissions if the option is enabled.
File Uploader Improvements
The file uploader has been upgraded to recognize corrupt/bad video files as well as if a file is moved, renamed, or deleted during uploading.
Grade Entry Percentage
The way that “Grade Entry” are sent through LTI has changed. Before a decimal from 0-1 was required, and then delivered to the LMS. Now the “Grade Entry” option accepts a percent that will be delivered to the LMS.
Wording/Messaging
Various wording/messaging changes have been made to make things easier to understand.
